Well last year i blew out the fm-146 in my old ranger and my dad made me get rid of it. (after i had it all tore apart and just needed a new trans) :bawling:

So I sold it to Jim for a whopping $300.

I then bought a 2003 Focus SVT. He wouldn't let me get another truck because he said it wasn't "practical". Grr, its my money and i should be able to get what i want! O well she is a beast and is super fast.

Now we come to a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for a winter beater and have always loved the '79-86 style ford full sized trucks. I found her on craigslist for $700, and i talked him down to $450.

I present- THE HULK :yahoo:

1979 F-150 4x4 short bed. It used to have a step side but the PO cut the sides off . Its got the 351m, C6, Np205, D44 front (with limited slip), 9" rear. 5" lift sitting on 36" TSL's. It only needed a new rear slip yoke, and CV head on the driveshaft to be road worthy. O and the PO shelled the rear gears when he neutral dropped it from 4k :annoyed:. So the front has 4.11's and the rear has 3.5"s. lol Dont you dare put it in 4wd on solid pavement!

Future plans:

New windshild, PO buddys head went through it :shok:
New lights
New door skins with mirrors
Build a tube or square tube bed
Rebuild the whole motor and drive train.

O and if your interested, heres my svtf

nice find if only trucks like that were that easy to find around here

damn nice find!!! i'd love to find something like that!!! the 78/79 F150's are the good years for the F150's.. body style anyways....haha

I want your wheels in the worst way!
Where are you? I'll trade you for my custom American Racing Outlaws, and a set of gears for your D44 to match your rear.

Here's mount mounted in 36" TSLs

Please please please trade me:icon_bounceblue:. I can't find them anywhere.

haha, i know!. So far 2 other people want my turbine wheels. Ive actually saw another set in the JY a while back so they must be pretty popular around here. I live in Davenport Iowa, and if you have 4.11's for the 9" maybe we can work something out.

Thanks for the complements guys, o and does anyone know if there is a build thread about my old ranger? Jim said it was gonna be a project for his wife.
