My brother has changed a bunch of Rangers fuel pumps. And I've helped him change one for a friend of his since I've been out.
I've already looked on Amazon and can get a new pump from there for about $55.00 all said and done.
I was thinking if I'm going to pick the bed up and change the pump it would be smart to change the full tube at the same time.
My brother has told me more than once that they go bad faster than the pumps do.
A fill tube is another $50.00 all said and done.

Well I just got back home from going with my brother to look at some roof leaks in/on a commercial building one of the landlord he works for owns.

After we was done he took me to his house and gave me a Launch Professional Diagnostic Tool.
He told me he does not know how to use it or anything at all about it really.
He said:
" Maybe you can figure it out. ".

The middle window in the bottom row it says:
Upgrade.
Then it has a circle with the number 43 in the circle. So I'm taking it there's 43 upgrades on it for some reason or something I don't know.

When I tap on the window it says " Reminder ", " The network connection was not established " then it has an okay bar at the bottom.

I would like to make sure that the tool is up to date on all the codes and stuff.
Is that 43 in the circle upgrades for the last vehicle it was plugged into? Or is the tool telling me that it needs upgraded?

Any knowledge anyone can give me would be very helpful. Once again thanks a lot you guys.

On the back is a square with black little squares;

Use your smart phone camera and point at that square. It should have a pop up that will take you to a website with info on that model tool.
If not google the name and model number and go to the "Launch" website.

I scanned that QR code when first got home. It gives the basic information on the tool and it also links to a copy of the owners manual.
But that's it.

I'm a hands on kind of learner. So that's why I was asking if anyone personally know anything about it.

Hey folks,
I did not get a chance to even start my truck yesterday.
I figure out how to get that tool I posted pictures of on Sunday hooked up to a network.
It is Wi-Fi compatible.
I first tried my hotspot on my phone. It didn't hook up that way however. I had to go to my brother's house and use his Wi-Fi.
I was able to get it updated while I was at my brother's.
I've still not tried to use it on anything yet. But I'll get there.

Today I made time to start my truck and move it around back of my house to park it.
I turned the key to the on position waited for a 3 count and then turned it to the start position. Just to see if it would start for me.
It started right up.

Well it's been awhile since I posted in this thread.

Today I was able to buy myself and my truck an: Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual.
It should be here on the 18th.

And here my latest package from China says it is delayed basically immediately (as soon as the plain landed in LA)... I think there was a big rush of people buying stuff right before the tariffs went into effect and the customs office is overloaded.
(Yes I was one of the rushing to beat the deadline - I ordered on Sun and Mon before the 10% went into effect Tues.)

No need to be sad Doug, I ordered a couple pairs of earbuds and something else - basically cheap nothing... and I always order "choice" (kinda like amazon "prime") - guaranteed delivery or $x off next order etc - they already sent me coupon codes for the delay - makes em half free.
