with some recent developments in my life ( ie the babys here :) ) im finding the need to get a new daily driver thats got a back seat. my ranger is hands down my favorite vehicle ive ever owned and ill probably be buried in it. but even the extended cabs arent kid friendly. moms got a 04 wrangler and that aint the safest either with a soft top. she wants me to sell the ranger and get a Suv:damnit1:. i pulled the "hell no ill leave" threat to that one.

the conundrum is we both love wheeling and refuse to give our rides up. Merediths jeep has a 3 inch lift and 33s and my ranger is running a body lift and some suspension tweaking for about 5 inches of lift and 33s. i was thinking ill keep driving the ranger DD and we can get her a SUV to DD and ill build her jeep up a bit more so she dont feel that bad about driving a mommy mobile. i dont see her going for that idea either so anybody got any good ideas lol?

Lifted Explorer!

She might like the Ford Escape.

Explorer or a sport trac! escapes are not trucky enough

lifted exploder...is a long arm SAS on 38s a Viable mommy mobile? or just something id love to have... i saw a SAS sport trac once to. we lift everything down south lol

i know im looking to get shot but, jeep cherokee

Meh, a Grand Cherokee would probably satisfy the lady looks wise more then the Cherokee. Unless it's a new Cherokee, because those bubbly little things are girl cars.

i actually like the first gen grand Cherokees with the 318 mopar enigne ive seen them wheel like crazy lol

Yes a Jeep would be a good vehicle, one of the older cherokees or grand cherokees before they turned into cars. I know this is the ranger station, but Jeeps are excellent vehicles, the inline 6 is an awesome engine, and all around...its dam tough to kill one. Like I said, i'm speaking of the ninties vehicles, not the plastic compass things, etc

How about the new 4 door JK? I'm partially with the crowd that says a 'real' JEEP doesn't have 4 doors. However, even with 4 doors, the JK is still a pretty meaty off-roader. And it still looks like a JEEP. What's even better, is its more family friendly than the regular 2-door JEEP, and with the new hard top you can have a solid roof over the kid, and open sky over your own head.

Now, I'd never buy a 4 door JEEP myself (even though I am in love with the 2 door JK) but for the right person, I can see how they'd be a decent compromise.

i could sell you a jeep liberty...and yes, a sas'd exploder on 38's is definately a mommy mobile!

+1 to the Explorer Sport Trak. It's pretty much a 4 door Ranger.
+1 to the Wrangler 4 door. It's available with a 6 speed manual.

BRONCO II!!!!!!!!! Nuff Said. Just find one with no rust! then drop a 4.0 V6 In it
