My credo
If I can't do it...find someone to teach me
Just payed WAY too much for a 1994 Ranger with the 3.0/auto and need a lot of help getting my investment to pay off!

Well I've got exactly the same truck. 94 3.0 auto. Shoot on top of that mine is pink and has a crunch in the drivers side fender. Towed it home but after some help from the folks here on the board she runs fine.

Don't think getting your investment back ever happens

My biggest problem is looking for a replacement throttle body. When attempting to pull off the EGR valve for for cleaning/replacement I found it is broken. There are none I can find so I am wondering if any one is aware of a plenum swap I could do. I have checked around and finding an alternative is proving to be more difficult than I would have thought

I think i have an extra throttle body if you can’t find one. Ill dig it out tomorrow and verify what year it came from. The one I have is the one where the throttle body unbolts from the upper intake manifold.

Thats a 3.slow throttle body?
The older ones like in my 93 are built-in as part of the upper intake.

Thats why i pulled a newer one with separate throttle body from the junk yard, thinking I might be able to use a bigger throttle body for more flow or something. Never used it. Never will.

Yes sir!! In order to take a picture of what is broken I would have to take the EGR valve off again which I really don't want to do since I had to use some ingenuity to put it back together so I can drive it.

Thank you Eric

I can't believe how fast the responses are on here. I should have bought a Ranger a LONG time ago!! LOL
