Fix it till its broke!
Oh well just cracked my windshield trying to change out the rearview mirror. That sucks, done it a million times guess it had to happen eventually lol. I just replaced the damn thing too. I hope my insurance covers it, if not it's gonna have to wait till after August. :(

We've all had our little mishaps...I broke a windshield changing a set of wiper blades.

Good luck going through your insurance.

I've heard progressive is actually pretty good about it so long as you're covered. Meh if not I'll wait till it spreads. Just looks so damn ugly

The first windshield that I broke was in my company truck. Cold day like 10 degrees. Cleaning snow and ice off it. Boss had a giant cup of fresh hot coffee. He set it on the hood and I picked it up said thanks and dumped it onto the windshield...... shattered. We both laughed called the mechanics from the shop and went to the office and each got a cup of coffee until it was fixed. Lol

Damn lol, well this is the first I've broken or chipped I've always had good luck. I even joked with the wife cuz her family all had cracked windshields, so when I finally got a crack on my last car I was like "damn babe you gave me the family curse!"

Darn, never done that before. Maybe it already had a small crack in it and when you pulled it off it broke. Dude....not good!!!! I do know that a lot of insurance companies cover a broke or cracked windshield. Mine does. I have USAA.

Yea actually I took the old one off fine then goofed by not paying attention and put it on upside down, so I thought oh well the other came off fairly easy....bam! Took a whole clean chunk out the size of a quarter clean to the middle of the glass. Damn that's good glue though, still can't get it off the metal button. Oh well live and learn

If it obstructs the drivers view, it should be covered. My Ranger had a leak that made a streak on my windshield, and State Farm covered it because it obstructed my view.

Well it's right where the rear view mounts so yea it obstructs my rear view lol

It's a little bigger than a quarter...

Give it a little love tap.... it will spread.

(Can't wait to see what comment Mark_88 puts for that one)

When I was about 14 I cracked the windshield in an old chevy truck while killing a fly. Talk about a retard! I hit it with a box of brake pads. Not even hard. I did kill the fly though.;missingteeth;

Lol well I don't feel so bad now :D

On the plus side I'm mounting it just above which means the mirror will block it from view do I don't have to look at it for a bit. Needless to say I bought the same glue lol. That kind of hold after 20 minutes is awesome! Remounted it correctly :thumbup:

I've been known to use an electric engraving pen to put a dimple on each end of the crack to keep it from crossing the windshield....but that's me...

:icon_bounceblue:

To bad it isn't that kind of crack, though I have heard of that...don't think there's anything I can do short of hooking up an air compressor at very very low psi and leaving some resin to sit and set and hope for the best.
