IH cub lo boy

Anyone own one? I need a bigger mower and its between a JD 400(425,445) series or an older IH 154,185 series cub.I need input on the pros or cons.

For a lawn mower, you won't beat a lawn mower. They are lighter, more manuverable and more comfy to operate. John Deere has been #1 in my book for quite awhile. Dad has a 185 hydro with a 17hp Kawasaki that is a bear of a lawn mower, it won't back down from anything.

They are also a lot newer than the Cub's so there is less chance of someone buggering something up.

Here is a link for the Cub. http://www.farmallcub.com/ In the forum it has a area for the 154/185 which are big grass cutting machines. Someday I will own my Greatuncle's Farmall cub, but for now I own three Cub Cadet Orginals, 104, 106 and 1450 Cub Cadets.
If you do get the Old IH, they are easier to work on then my 88 Ranger or Bronco II.
