Hi Guys,
The ignition in my 97 Ranger sometimes does nothing when I turn the key. It takes 2-3 tries before it catches and starts the motor. It seems to be getting worse, takingf 6-7 tries. Any body had to deal with this? How did you fix it?
Thanks

check the simple things first, like are battery cables clean?tight?

Maybe your ignition switch or the starter coil on your fender wall might be loose, also check your started solenoid...just a thought...

Check for power from the ignition switch to the starter when it wont start. if you get power to the starter the the starter is bad, if you dont get power check the ignition switch.
