I've got an '87 Ranger with a 2.9L V6. I've rebuilt the heads and have just finished assembling the top of the motor. During tear down, I cracked the connector plug to the ignition coil. I cannot remember which wire goes where, (I should have written it down). Looking at the top of the coil, does the red wire connect to the terminal on the right of the secondary- green wire with the yellow stripe to the left, or vice versa? Secondary being the terminal to the distributor cap. Also, which is the negative primary: green/yellow or the red wire? Conventional wisdom would suggest that a red wire is always positive. However, this is not always the case.
If 2 different people could confirm this, that would be great.
Thanks
