I am trying to install a remote start in my 92 ranger and I can't even find the ignition switch harness. Does anybody have any clue where it is on my truck. Like I said it is a 92, it has the 2.3L engine and it is a stick 4x4 if that makes any difference.

I have taken the covers off of the steering column and have found three harness by the signal light arm but I don't think that they are the right ones. I have thaken the panels off under the steering and don't see anything that looks right there either. I can't move the steering colum becuse it's not adjustible so I am not able to look above it.

Thanks for any help!

Not sure on that gen of truck, but generally you follow the wires right off of the keyswitch. Sometimes manufacturers will use a rod from the key switch down to the ignition switch so it would be lower down along the column somewhere.

Drop the column. Its the easiest way to get to it. Its on top of the column.

Like snoranger said. If you have a manual trans. you will have to jumper the clutch safety switch. And when you park always leave it outta gear or your truck will run away.
