I remember her saying something about her paying $20 bucks to rent a cherry picker, I said put the money to better use and go buy some beer. and back your truck up onto the ramps. which she did. we had a beer
things were going along pretty good till my son and I hit a small problem, as we pulled on the come-along, the front suspension didn't want to play the game and took the weight. Now this was a problem with the motor half out and sitting in the compartment in a nasty spot. not to mention that the single 4X4 was sagging from the strain. what do rednecks do?? have more
time to regroup, we lowered the motor into the bay, beefed up the 4X4 with a second one, retied her down took off the tires and had another
with the beefed up (non sagging) over head height we figured we had it beat, but things don't always work out as planned, height yes, execpt for that front suspension problem. quick thinking fixed that, grab that 2X4 and place it under that end of the hoist.
by this time Angie was pretty freaked out, the roof rack was bouncing, the hoist was swaying and here was I trying to pull a motor. not to mention my son was saying " what'ta ya mean I can't let go?? I want my
"
from here on out it was now or never becuase I knew it was 1 of 3 things.
1. the motor comes out and all is OK.
2. Son get thirsty and lets go of the 2X4.
3. all hell breaks loose and the roof racks let go, the posts come down and I break my legs trying to run away from a falling motor, that would suck cuz I can't have
in the hospital.
as it turns out. she holds we get the cart and then its
again
