If you haven't deleted your info from spokeo.com, you probably should

my (former) boss/owner of the dealership i worked at. owned 11 title loan locations. his guys often used spokeo as a means of finding cars that were out to be repo'd (stashed a siblings house for example)

I don't mind my address being on there. But my credit score and income is nobody's business.

OK, so I just went through all of the steps to remove my info again. I find it comical that they advertise a product called "Reputation Defender" on the removal page. This product is designed to keep people like Spokeo from doing what they do. Everybody's got their friggin hand out these days.

BTW, here's the removal page for anyone that can't find it:

I have gone through all of the settings, every time they do an update too.

Apparently not good enough, either that or the info isn't coming from facebook... have you gone into:

Privacy Settings --> Apps, Games and Websites --> Apps You Use

Under Apps You Use, you need to select "Turn off all platform apps"

And below that you need to edit settings accessible though your friends, and within that un-check EVERYTHING.

Yeah, I've gone through all of it. The information that bothers me most that it knows is not on Facebook. I don't know how it knows income and credit score information, and why it puts it out in front of the world. Anybody know how it knows this information?

it even shows a picture of where i live and my truck! thats f'ing great! thanks for posting this so i could get my name off of there.

Don't have anything on me, the only person in my family they have info on is my old man and most of it is incorrect.

Worth noting:

There is no reasonable use they have for your e-mail address other than selling it or spamming it. As stated before this information is available from other sources, this site just brings it all into one place.

The first person stupid enough to put in you paypal info and or bank info to find out more information they'll have that too. To share to the world. You can get that same info off of yahoo people search. It'll give old adresses and such that info has been around for years. It has nothing current on me. Everything we do expecaully on the net there is always somebody watch'n. You'll never get away from so there's no reason in trying. Havn't you've ever tried to google your own name. You'll get facebook, myspace, twitter profiles, any and all photos of personal items that you have posted etc. ect. Welcome to the wounderful world of the Internet.....
