Idle's high when I come to a stop

Vacuum leak unless you didn't clear the ecu after replacing the IAC.



Yours is likely the IAC. Replace, clear ecu, then run it for at least a few days without the ac or defrost.

Yep. Replaced the IAC valve and the TPS (just for shits and giggles). Also, cleaned the throttle body. Its driving nice now. No more high idle with or without the a/c.

Have you checked your timing lately? Just an idea...

No but it operates fine in park, while driving at all speeds, just when I come to a stop it just idles real rough. It has decent throttle response off the line and good pick up down the road.

I have no frame of reference since this is my first ranger and have only had it a little over a month.
