Friday I was bringing my buddy home from work, after about 15 miles, my idle would hang at around 3500 RPM when I pushed in the clutch. It wouldn't just sit there, it would jump up to around 4000, then go down to 2500, then settle at around 3500 again. I thought maybe my throttle body was sticking (but jumping around like that kinda makes me doubt it), but I snapped my throttle body open under the hood a few times with the engine off, truck ran normal for the rest of the night after that. Same thing happened just before Christmas, again I thought the TB was just sticking.

Saturday morning I went to start my truck, turns over, fired, but wouldn't run. I gave it a little gas, fired right up and ran good as long as my foot was on the gas, would rev up fine, everything was normal, but when I let off the throttle, it would down past idle then just die. No sputtering, just stop running. Played with the TB a bit more, gave the spring a quick spray of PB Blaster, it's run fine since.

Any idea what would cause this? It's not showing any codes, everything else seems normal, it's running normal now. I really have no clue on this one.

If it helps, every once in a while when I'm driving and pull up to a stop sign or something the idle will go down to around 500 RPM from the normal ~900 RPM.

The IAC is the only thing I could think of that it could be.

Can I clean it out with carb cleaner or is it a replace item?

it could also be ur throttle position sensor. its on the throttle body opposite the side of the cable
