Hey guys my 90 BII is acting up and has been acting up for a while now. Today it finally died in the middle of the road and finally has bothered me enough to seek help. Like the title says it has been stalling. But this is during initial startup (actually if the engine is very cold it starts without stall). And also within the first miniutes of driving at stops. Now it is not at the stops that it stalls but when I then try to apply pressure to the pedal. Also the car has a little difficulty idleing during this time even if it does not stall.

When I asked my jeep friends months ago about the problem they said there was an idle air control on their 4 litres that sometimes causes this. Just wondering if that is a possibility. I am just a little confused where to start.

Thanks,

Alex

Yeap, the AIC could be the issue...clean with carb cleaner...see if it improves, maybe better if you remove and then clean.

Could also be the Temp sensor to the engine computer.

could be the ignition module (TFI) too, remove and check it at your local parts store...they should do it for free.
