Was camping over the weekend and found this abandoned car. All badging has been pilfered, anyone know what it is? From my google image search on american cars, looks to be pre-50's....

Wow, poor bastard. Sure would be interested to hear the story, from the car's point of view. Look like it had a straight 8?

Good eye guys...

with such heavy gauge steel, some parts were actually in decent shape: front fenders, and doors. roof has an award watermelon sized hole in it, dash was shot, main cabin area was beginning to be eaten by the earth. Not to mention it was surrounded by trees that had since grown up around it and the fact that it's no where near anything that resemebles a road, and it is on a state park. Probably too much of a head ache to fool with.

Then again the state park just might be thrilled to get rid of it.

that's true. I'm suprised they don't have any signage around it telling its story, or at least a "stay off" sign to cover their A$$. It's literally 1.5 miles from a road, that's a lot of chain saw work.

Everytime I see something like that it makes me want to cry. My father sold his '65 Mustang convertible way back in the day. I hope it's still being driven or at least sitting in a barn somewhere, but I know it's either out in the woods rotting away or scrapped.

WOW!!! where the hell did u find that???

Makes me want to cry, and beat the owner with a stick. Sell it, put in the paper for free, have someone haul it off. don't just let it rot.
