Can someone tell me what V6 engine this is? Guy isn't sure but thinks it's the 3.0. It will be 2 days before he can look at it again.

I am pretty sure it is a 4.0. That's an awful pic for engine ID, but the position of the IAC and what is visible of the intake, along with the positions of the alternator and the A/C compressor, are consistent with a 4.0. That little white sticker on the left would tell you for sure though.

Heck if that pic was a little bigger we could just look at the data sticker right there.

Well if U are sure its a 4.0... U are looking at MY NEW TRUCK! Thank guys, knew I could count on ya!

I'm not 100% sure because I can't see it well enough. I'd give it about 90%, give or take 5.

I'll know for sure about Tuesday, guy has it in a storage garage and won't get to it until then to see. Got my fingers crossed! Won't be sleeping much for the next 2 days...:headbang:

Well, no. I have lots of pics of a 4.0, but it is in pieces in all of them.

Here is a top-down of a 4.0 intake though. You can see how the IAC sits back really far.

Thanks guys U have been a great help...BTW I just got an email from the owner...it's a 4.0 baby!! 1994 single cab shortbed 4X4, manual with 68K!:icon_hornsup::headbang: Now gotta pick it up and start emptying my wallet with mods. New lift and tires first :yahoo:

Looks exactly like my '94 4.0l but it is cleaner, lol.

Nice! I'd almost trade you trucks....

That's a rare and highly wanted configuration. Personally, I'd sell it and make money, then buy one I wouldn't feel bad chopping cutting and welding on.

Not looking to do anything wild with it. Probably just a 4" Skyjacker lift, 32-33" MT's, selectable lockers and winch. May regear when doing lockers depending on cash flow. Any info on where I should start with this mild build? I'll post pics when I get it home and start another thread on here somewhere and glean info from U guys.
