so long story short my neighborhood is getting a little bit more shady, but not so much stealing but of rocks and paintballs being shot at cars. (Which a lot of times brakes the neighbors windows) I was wondering if it was possible to install an alarm on a completely manual car and if so which one would you guys recommend. I want one that is pretty sensitive to touch, maybe even one that warns me on the FOB since I'll be putting in expensive speakers and what not in the truck and I'm not always around it, so I want to be extra protected. Looking for something that's not to expensive, just something reliable and somewhat cheap. Thanks!

My advice? Move!
When I lived in Texas and the crime rate went up, some houses / vehicles had little signs or decals from ADT, Brinks, et. al. But the most effective seemed to be just posting the silhouette from a CC permit test, with a nice tight pattern in it. Would surely be cheaper than an actual alarm and probably more effective?

im glad i stumbled onto this thread, ive been thinking about an alarm for both my car and my truck. both all manual, no power locks. all i want is a good cheap alarm, simple and basic. ill be interested to see what you come up with.

my ranger has a viper alarm that was installed when i got the truck. its door/shock/tilt sensitive and has a FOB. it also arms itself automatically 30 seconds after the door shuts which is kind of a handy feature.

wow that bulldog 2010 model is only 50 bucks compared to the 300 dollar Viper. If I had the money though I would get the viper but the only problem I got is where do i put the siren in the 2010 model, and has anyone ever installed power locks in a manual locking car and hook it up some how with an alarm system because if I could do that, it would definitely be worth the money.
