My credo
Clean your room before you criticise the world.
I'm just lookin for something to BS about, so here's my parts collection list.
1. A 70s ford 302
2. Whatever the 4spd was in the 70s but 4x4
3. A mated 205 t case
4. A divorced 205 case
5. D44 and 9in
6. 1.9l VW TDI motor
7. A 4.0 sohc motor
8. M5od r1 HD
9. D35 ttb axle
10. An 8.8
11. An aod with a advanced adapter bw 1354 adapter.

Well just stop there. My full parts list is massive.Lol so which of the above power plants etc do you guys think would be the best/coolest to swap into my b2 long term.

Get a np203 and make a doubler out of one of the 205s. Then it really doesn't matter what engine you use...

mmmmm.... intended primary use would dictate that answer.

Interesting.... Is it possible to make a divorced doubler??

Highway cruzer. Occasional trail crawler/ camping rig.

I don't think I've seen anyone put a 4.0 sohc motor in a Bronco II.

hopped up 1.9/2.0 and the m5od. it would be the most cost effective all around.

dollar for dollar it is no contest.

theres a few....and 4.6...and 5.4 and 6.2/6.5 diesels.....big blocks. more then 10 years ago.

I was leaning toward the TDI myself. But the sohc is cool too. V8 is played put

I have... One of the moderators on Explorerforum did it. He ran it off the OHV computer. That’s where I got the idea when I did it on my 95 Explorer. You have to cut out more of the HVAC box then you do for a 5.0 swap.

No way that's wild man!! Running a sohc on an ohv computer!!?? that can't be that easy to accomplish I'd imagen.

Id run that 302 with a 4speed...

I agree with Mr Jim Oaks, It would be cool to see a 4.0 in a B2. Then supercharge it. lol
