I want a couple inches up front from jeep coils.

im wondering what are the best year of jeeps i should get the coils from. im wanting to get a 1.5-2 inches higher in the front of my 89 ranger. will jeep coils do what im wanting? let me know. if you have pictures of my generation with jeep coils. will they work? i read the tech help on the jeep coils but i want to know if anyone here has done it with experience and input on how it worked out.

There are several of us here running Jeep coils, although the majority of us have Bronco IIs (A Ranger is anywhere from slightly to significantly heavier).

If your Ranger is not a Supercab, I would suggest Skyjacker's 3" lift coils for the XJ & ZJ Cherokee. They should get you right about 2" if you have a standard cab shortbox Ranger.

Early Bronco coils are another option to look at as well. They are a bit stiffer and would work better on a Supercab truck.

Jeep coils are gonna be pretty soft for a Supercab.

These should give you about 2-3" lift on that truck if the numbers are correct here:

You'll need to modify both the upper & lower coil mounts a bit to fit them.

Well, if you look around at EB/F-150 coils, you'll notice they have a coil turn that "cuts across" at the top of the coil. This would need to be cut off for it to fit decent in the RBV bucket. The bucket will also need a tab or something on the outside to support the slightly larger coil so it doesn't bow outward.

For the lower mount you'll need a pair of EB/F-150 seats and modify them to fit the mounts your axle.
