I think I need a bigger snowplow...

You need a set of mattracks for your little craftsman workhorse lol.

Aw hell.. that's not from the storm that's hitting me in about ten minutes is it?

I'm gonna have fun tomorrow.. I'm borrowing my mothers van while my car's broke down and I've never driven it in snow.

Thats a garden tractor! :icon_surprised: Isn't that called abuse putting a blade on it.

It's what a lot of people use them for.

Mine has a plow attachment for it, I just need a plow. It's no good for mowing now anyway.

I think a shovel would be faster unless you had a really long driveway.

I don't touch my driveways at all though..... just run over them a few times to make paths.

Of if your lazy or old or something.

I'm lazy, so I'm going to put one on mine. When my father gets too old to shovel his driveway I'll drop it off and he can have it. I'll just go out and buy a new one. I don't think he will though, hes in his late fifties and has the physique of a man in his 20's, along with the mind of a four year old when he's around his grandchildren. Maybe when he's 90 or so. His mother's in her late 80's and she's still running like a top and working for a living.

Look at the date I posted this, lol. This current "storm" has so far only dropped about an inch and a half of white crap. Which is fine by me, I'm out of places to put the stuff till I can get our skid steer back from the mechanic to relocate some piles.

Nah, it's one of the older ones, they were built to take abuse. :tease:

Yea, I got this one with a bad deck then picked up a plow for it. Of course, once I got it all put together I tested it out on a couple inches of snow and promptly blew out the drive belt.:annoyed: Luckily I managed to get the last one the local tractor supply store had in stock.

For anything less than about 3", I haven't bothered with the tractor, just take a shovel in each hand and go at it. I can't plow the whole driveway because we have four trucks and a trailer bottling up the bottom end right now. I had been hoping to have another driveway cut in this summer but while I have the pipe to cross the drainage ditch, I didn't manage to get it installed. Had I got that done, four trucks would be out of the driveway and up by my shed. But I still have to clear down to the trucks in the lower end.

I have to keep the driveway clear, my parents depend on it.

This sounds odd....... I drive tractors everyday, but something about a lawnmower running gives me splintering migraines. with earplugs, or muffs.

I don't even mowe because of it....

That is kind of odd. Fortunately I don't have that problem.

The only problem I have right now is that I went out to clear the 5" of global warming off the driveway this morning and couldn't get the tractor started. Turned over just fine but despite playing with the choke and throttle on a full tank of fresh gas, it didn't make any effort to fire up. Waiting till it gets a bit brighter and hopefully the snow will slow down some to take another look at it. Ran fine the other day. :annoyed:

I don't do any shoveling. I take my loader even down the sidewalk!

My primary driveway is 400' long. I'm sure as hell not shoveling that. A there-and-back pass on the loader is just a few minutes, then another few to push the snow off the parking area.

This is my winter look. I have 2 rural houses and then I help a few people and sometimes do the church. I do that with my B2 since it is a big parking lot.

You call that a skid steer! Heck, that thing looks hardly bigger than my lil tractor! :icon_rofl:

Wish I could get ahold of our mechanic, I want our skid steer back. Need to relocate some piles of white stuff to make room for more white stuff. Ours is a lil bigger than that - dad got the biggest one that would fit through a standard garage door and still be nimble enough to move around and work in there.

Got the tractor running again. Not sure what exactly the problem was. Shot it with some carb cleaner, cleaned the plugs (they were a bit ugly, would have liked to have replaced 'em but didn't have any on hand and wasn't running out to get more today), and took the battery in an let it sit on the charger for awhile. Fired right up after that. Also adjusted the throttle cable, wasn't quite getting full throttle before. Now that thing runs like a raped ape.
