I think I am ready to plunge in...

okay, well anything wrong with powered subs?

they seem like it's so much easier to put together, as well as they save the money of buying an amp, and they are much more confined.

obviously this means not as loud.. i don't want rattling... but being able to feel it would be nice.

i honestly don't want anything rattling THAT much behind me

no offense but bazzokas rank about the same as sony xplodes on my chart. A lot of people have the idea that to get a budget system they have to buy garbage drivers which is not the case at all. www.madisound.com www.partsexpress.com and probably even www.onlinecarstereo.com sell good quality low budget drivers. Companies I usually looks for are Vifa, Peerless, MBQuartz, and Aurasound.

to add to that loudness is easy and cheap, quality is where things get expensive....

I was thinking more like http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?p=368362#post368362

not bazooka....

I don't mind buying name brand.. but this would save so much effort... and I know effort is required in things... but like I said... i just want some balanced out music, I don't need my neighbor (or even worse, my mom) to hear me when I come home.

i have yet to see a manu that puts put quality make a powered sub, if you like the baz. get it and you never know it might last a while,

my issue with powered subs, you have two parts of your system connected to each other, you lose a sub your out your amp too and you lose your amp your out your sub.

i actully put RF in line with explodes too but thats just me,

and i agree with rjppunk, just because you want cheap doesn't mean you have to get crap.

i read on the other post you like the powered sub because its easy to wire.

the only different between that and a "normal" system, is one wire, and it goes from the amp to the speaker.

okay.. well i still haven't decided on any speakers.. grew tired of looking lol...

grew tired of showing up bad products

sorry sub/ or speaker. what ever the amp is running. and as far as speakers, most of us are pros or semi pros, wel deal with "top of the line" all the time,
if you see something you like get it, minus explodes,

your not looking to run a twinm amp system so go entry level, its ok, you my stay that way or you might get the "bug" then we can really help you
