i did the unthinkable yesterday....i traded my 92 ranger for a fullsize chevy. all my friends run smallblocks and straight axles, and i couldn't keep up because i couldn't afford the lift. i will miss all the information on this site, but i told the next owner how helpful everyone is, and he said he would check it out. So, goodbye trs--it's been a good run. not i will depart before i start thinkin about the ranger and cry......again.

Don't let the door smack ya on your way out! :icon_rofl:

Hope the Chevy will serve you well, live long and prosper.

Just because you have a different brand of truck doesn't mean you have to ditch us,hang out with the gang, you are one of us.

thats what i do .. no matter what kinda truck i have i love trs lol

i drive a chevy but i got ranger projects. just buy a cheap project and stay here

Sinner! WTF were you thinking?!!! Hopefully you'll have better luck with your chebby than I had with the one I owned. Yep, just ONE. And HAD. Broke me of that crap for a lifetime.:icon_hornsup:

I had two. One had the 250 with the 1 barrel carb. It was a good car but impossible to find a good working carb which led to the decision to get rid of it. It was a pretty decent ride. (1974 Nova)

The other was an S-10 and I have never driven anything as reliable (4.3L TBI, an engine known for its longevity). There was nothing that that could stop that vehicle from running, but there was also nothing that could get that vehicle to stop on a road that had any kind of moisture on it.

I grew up in a GM family but there aren't any vehicles that GM has made within the past decade that I really like (except for the Corvette). Their trucks don't last like they used to. They got rid of the 350, can't get any full size truck with a manual, etc. I do like the 97' and older trucks though. The isuzu/chevy Colorado just isn't an appealing truck to me, and I didn't want to be stuck with an automatic or a 4.3 in a full size truck which is ultimately why I bought the Ranger.

I'd say you should stick around but interest in car related forums tends to fade for most people once they get rid of the car related to the forum. Happy wheeling.

You know you will miss your poor, lonely, Ranger, it is sitting there waiting for you to return so it can live the old times again with you...it will soon realize that you have abandoned it & that all those fun times are now memories... after that, it will start to feel worthless realizing it was not good enough for you & that you have moved on without it.

It gave everything it had to please you, in hopes that someday you would reward it for it's efforts & modify it so it could truly gain your admiration without you having to "run with the crowd", but even though it gave its best, you turned on it & kicked it to the curb. It will never get to live out those dreams it had with you... even though you have moved on & replaced it, it's life will never be the same.

It is truly a sad day.

I got a little sniffley myself while I was typing that. :icon_rofl:

Trader! Just kidding dont care for chevy myself, but Ive learned I can blow them all up(proved it too). Just cause you have a chezy now doesn't mean you don't have ranger blood. THATS RIGHT ITS A DRUG I TELL YA. haha
