Does anyone have any experiance with the I.O. (Inter Ordanance) AKs? I purchased one last year and have had nothing but problems. The first one the rivets came loose and the receiver twisted after about 150 rounds. waranty department said not an issue we will ship you a new one after receiving the old one. 6 months later they finally get my new riffel shiped out some "back order" bs. Get the new one looks great, got 271 rounds same thing (loose rivets and twisted receiver) but not as extreme. What im trying to find out is do any of you here own I.O. INC. AKs and how your rifels are holding up. Im thinking about sending it to the ak guy in my area and having a new receiver made and installed instead of sending it in to warranty and wanted your thoughts on that aswell.

Had a handgun didnt have any mechanical probs just didnt like it

You might try them again. Pitch a fit about the wait and the quality, if they are anything at all for a company they should bend over backwards to make you happy in a hurry for the second (or third time depending on how you look at it)

If that doesn't work pitch a fit again and get your money back so you can put it towards something that doesn't need extensive rework.

I went through this with Remington about a Marlin 336C earlier this year, the third time it went back for good and I got a check in the mail.

I think you may be right 85_ranger4x4. I dont need a $700 parts kit. I can get a parts kit for about $200 and buy a milled receiver for $400 and im still saving money and building a superior rifel. Ill be pitchin a bitch fit in the morning. Thanks for pointing me in a better direction.

IMO a $700 gun shouldn't need anything aside from ammo to put in the supplied mag.

This is why I like the AR platform plus that is what I was trained on in the military with the M16A2 and M4. I am not knocking the AK platform at all. It is not my cup of tea so to speak.

I.O. is gonna take care of everything. they are paying shipping both ways aswell as "including some other goodies to try to help with the inconvienance (is that how its spelled?) and the production manager is suposedly looking over how the rifels made it past Q.C. thanks for everyones input.

They all screw up.

I had a problem with a lever action earlier this year, it has like three moving parts and its design dated back to the late 1800's... and it was really screwed up from the factory.

It has been proven time after time the AK is a very tough design.
