i need help

my gf has a pos 99 plymouth breeze it trys to start but all i get is clkicking what the problem is?

Well, after putting up with a woman long enough all their speech sounds like percussive tones in the back ground.

could be a lot of things, i would start with making sure the battery is charged enough then make sure the wire are not loose on the starter, after that i would try getting a new starter.

Also check the connections at the battery. The may look ok, but still need a cleaning.

Can you get power to the acc. but are unable to start it?

before you spend money on a starter give it some love taps with a small ball peen hammer, might knock it loose and help it turn over....

well im gunna pull the starter and have my buddy at his shop do a bench test an see if that breaks it loose an have him check all the wiring for 7.50

a sharp clicking or tapping sound? that is the solenoid for the starter "bouncing". the battery doesnt have enough charge left to hold the soleniod in the start position when the starter starts to draw power.

charge the battery and replace it if its old!


i have experianced this on numerous occasions, 4 that i can think of right off the top of my head.

Are the cables tight at the battery? Also check the other ends of the cables.

put a charger on it for a couple hours at a low setting and get her one of those jumper packs that you plug into a cigarette lighter socket. check the cables cause that doent hurt. if it happens again, then there is something else wrong here.
