OBD emission readiness

i was at harbor freight and decided to pickup a code reader. i didnt have any dtc's but my emission status wasnt ready. it said:

EVAP
Not Ready

i want to know what could cause these monitors not to be ready and how i can fix them. thanks

If you recently reset the ECM, it takes several driving cycles for all the emissions monitors to read.

I've logged over 250 miles so far and have yet to have my Cat monitor recycle... Not sure if it still hasnt had the appropriate conditions to cycle or has something wrong... Something you may be in for though =).

ok thanks. i posted this before even reading the manual. i thought not ready meant that there was a problem instead of the test hasnt cycled.
