I dont think the wranglers a bad lookin rig. Not a CJ, but not bad. Better then those god awful front ends on the 87-94s

I'm not sure if adding Fiat strands to the Rambler DNA is an improvement for Jeep.

I love the looks and concept of it.

I don’t love the inherent maintenance issues the brand has a reputation to have and poor reliability rating the brand gets from long term reviewers like Consumer Reports.

Otherwise, I’d have a four door Wrangler already.

My friend has a 3 year old 4 door wrangler with only 42,000k. We spend just about every weekend fixing something. The shift cable falls off randomly, the neutral safety switch requires smacking the shifter to get it to start, it constantly develops vacuum and evap leaks, the brake lines have already started to rot, the egr valve died, it burns up coils, constant abs and traction control issues, the clock spring broke, paint all chipped off the door hinges and the plastic bushings are so bad the doors get stuck, the top leaks everywhere, tailgate tire mount is starting to bend with the stock tire size in it, AC works randomly, transmission overheats with mild trail riding, power window switches were replaced, it leaks oil and diff fluid, radiator has a leak.... I could go on, and this isnt an isolated crappy jeep, these are all well known very common issues.

Bottom line.... Modern jeeps are absolute garbage. Only upside is they somehow hold great resale value so he's getting rid of it.

Yep, it's a jeep alright.:icon_rofl:

With fiat chryslers appalling quality and GM screwing over the country Ford is pretty much the only domestic company left that doesn't completely suck...

IIRC they pretty much did the same thing as GM but were much more vague about the future of the effected plants.

At least ford didnt take billions in taxpayer bailout money and then give everyone the big proverbial middle finger...

Mine had 110k when I traded it away for the buggy with no problems other than what I did wheeling it. The clock spring did have issues, but that is a recall item. Probably wheeled that JK harder than 99% of the vehicles on TRS. It all depends on the vehicle. I know very few people that have problems with their jeeps, especially the 3.6s currently.

I think the Gladiators are cool, but don't really fit into anything I'd be interested in personally
