i think if he wanted to keep it 4wd it would be possible....although VERY labor intensive and HIGH in fabwork, if u basically dropped the lower intake down to cutout the entire raised portion, i think u could raise the crossmember enough(or make a cutom one) idk....i just got shit goin through my head....i think this will be the next custom ranger i build, 4wd on its nuts.....
 
meh, im thinkin of makin somethin similar to a cyclone, or typhoon, except with lockin hubs and selectable 4wd.....i think it can be done....lol....now just to find the perfect donor truck

im thinkin more along the lines of a small block, a cowl hood and a completely custom crossmember, i id have to figure out what todo with raising the motor, when i dot aht the trans is going ot be raised aswell, and there isnt exactly much room todo that unless u expand the trans tunnel and make a hum for the t-case to sit in on the floor

just make body extentions with roofing flashing and rivit it on. give it that lowered look.:icon_cheers:
 
but where would the fun be in that, id want a truck that i could put in four high have it sit a little bit lower then a stock 2wd locked front and rear with slicks at all 4's and 4.10's, would be fuckin tits
 
like i said, i dont mind converting to 2wd, because i have a 4.0 from my 91 aerostar eddie bauer, i think the hondas will hate me then :D

especially if i bore it out , heheheeee
 
u wouldnt need to, just convert the 2wd, find a used set of dream beams(someones sellin a set on here) put a exploder 8.8 in the back w/ a 2" block and u got a bII on its nuts, also, put 4.10's in the 8.8, and a m50d is a must. it should mke for a pretty damn quick littl truck, if i were u id also do a chop top liek the one guy did on here and put ranger bed caps on it so it looks like a really shortbed ranger, and it would also lower oyur COG which means better handling, and that top section weights a ton
