Recently I was looking on the foreclosed home market. After looking are roughly 200 homes I found something perfect for me. Earlier this week I made an offer that was accepted a few days later. Making a huge purchase I was feeling the buyers remorse later in the day. What really helped was doing a pro/cons list. I found out from my list that buying a house in this kind of market is probably the best financial decision I have made to date.

Congrats ! I havn't had to buy a house ( military housing) but my best friend bought a house the same way he ended up puting like 15g's in it but all and all he got one hell of a deal : 2 story 3 bedroom 2 bath, full basement 1 car garage, BARN/ SHOP ( luckybastard) 5 acres total price $65,000 can't go wrong with that deal!!

Thanks!!!

The good part is the house has already been remodelled. Unusual for an "AS IS" house but it makes it a lot easier financially and time wise.

house

Congrats,
One of the best parts of owning is you have your own GARAGE :yahoo: AND parking for anything, like a 25' travel trailer, car hauler, off road Ranger and anything else you want.

Well, lets have some details about it. Does it have a nice shop area? A big field with antique cars just waiting to be discovered?

My opinion of the housing market was that it was too expensive to comfortably own a house. I was able to snag the place for 40% off the last sale price back in 2006. No big shop area to brag about but it does have lake front view, and the inside was recently remodeled with new crown molding, unique matching tile throughout, new carpet and new appliances.

congrats!.....it took me a long time to get the nerve up to by a house, but i am glad i did. landlords generally suck! actually i was always lucky with that, but its a good feeling to be a home owner
