i hear the 2wd and 4x4 computers are the same,but ford says no.whats the deal?


I didn't read through everything to see if this has been mentioned, but in Canada (BC) they pressure check the gas cap and that's it.
 
MAKG,AllenD, thanks for clearing that up.i think i'll use my "92 4.0l into a 91.2.9l ranger" thread as the official swap thread to keep this from getting to spead out.i have the entire engine bay wiring and the cpu mentioned,along with gauge cluster,MAF,IAC,throttle cable,coil pack, and ignition module from the 2wd 92 ranger(and he pulled it all last week end and its sitting in my garage now,thanks jordan:icon_thumby:).that,EVTM's for both trucks, and the parts from the 91 exploder should see it running.i'll get a 92 4x4 CA cpu later if i need to and i have a new 88-92ranger and 91-94explorer cat off the explorer.i'll see to it the smog stuff goes on before firing it up,the fuel infected trucks run better with the smog anyway.
