and Whoooo!!!

Yep, that Koolaid is very addictive. Winter testing on a supercharged vehical, that's got to be interesting unless it's a 4x4. Did find this hot little one but it's "only" 445 hp

No Forced Induction isn't "KoolAid".

It's like substituting White Rum for the water in lemonaid mix.

The result is still "lemonaid", but...

And marijuana has neither potatoes nor stainless steel in it. We still call it "hash" and "pot".

so would a supercoup engine fit in my ranger?

Have they "forced" you to go visit the "Mother Ship yet? Very interesting operation they have. They must of had 100 M-90 blowers sitting on shelves waiting to have the Eaton housing swapped to the Roush one. They actually blueprint them as they go back together. Put some sensors on them and run them up to 16,000 rmp in the test cell for 30 sec and then back it down to 8K. Fun trip and visit, lots of other stuff goes on.
Left there with a big smile but a lot poorer!

Don't bother. The 3.8 is prone to head warpage. If you want forced induction, get a turbocoupe engine since you already have a 4-banger.

Go for it. I have a Mustang SVO cluster you can get for cheap.

would i get a hit on the MPGs turboing it?

That depends hugely on how you drive. If you go pedal to the metal all the time you will lose. If you drive conservatively, you should see gains.

cool! how hard is it to gather the needed stuff without breaking the bank?

Buy a turbocoupe with a bad tranny or body if you can. A friend of mine got lucky and picked up an 88 Ranger somebody was halfway done swapping a 2.3T into for 500 or so... He scrapped the truck and dropped the motor into his 76 Celica.
