I have a few questions I'd really like to find answers to. I have a 94 ranger extended cab 2wd that I aquired in a trade. It has some nice stuff on it runs and functions well....but I don't know what I have done in my front suspension.

If I was to post pics will someone be able to tell me what is what. I'm getting an already caged single cab frame and cab and want to just swap over all my parts for now. I'm just not 100% sure if it's that easy or not.

I'm sure there will be people willing to help you if you post pics. You might be able to find the answers you want by first checking the "tech articles" section at the top of every page. There is also some info at the beginning of every sub-forum in a "sticky". Check out the TRS magazine. Also, using the "google custom search" button at the top right of every page brings better results than the other search button.

Thanks for the response. I have been searching for info for about 2 weeks. My problem is what I was told I have and what I've read about what I was told doesn't correlate. I've tried posting pics no Bueno still trying though. Not new to cars but new to lifted and prerunner suspensions. Just trying to wrap my head around a few things

For posting pics;
I've found the quickest way is with my new smartphone using Tapatalk. Motorola G. I use the phone to answer in the thread and post pics directly from the phone. The other way I've used is to use a photohosting website such as imageshack or photobucket. Post the pic to the website and then copy the "IMG" file and paste it into the your thread.

In the process of downloading tapalk now....photobucket and picasa won't work. Check back in a few min!

I'm not familiar with 2wd but it looks like you have a suspension lift with longer than stock coils and shocks. I can't tell if there are extended radius arms. It also looks as if they didn't install a drop pitman arm so you probably have some bumpsteer. There are options for fixing that. Do some searching and come back with questions.

Just an idea of what's there...I was told equal length beams from an f150 and springs. BUT I'm not sure if that's what under there...from what I think I've read is there has to be work done on the beams and (what the rods called) but right in the pic you can see it says do not bend heat and weld? Clarification on if stuff had to move on the frame new mounting points or anything before I swap to new frame.

The beam brackets that are bolted to the frame/crossmember are riveted in a stock application. Grind the rivet head off and punch out the leftover. Drill out to 1/2" or use 12mm [12.9 - grade 8 equivalent] bolts and nuts. Same with the radius arm brackets.

Ok that's what looks like is done already with what I have on the truck as it sits now. I figure if I just take off and do what you say to the cages frame I should be ok.
On another note the pitman arm looked like it wasn't correct. Thanks for that info. I've been researching new radius arms sorry for the brain fart earlier on the name.

On the passenger side there is a bracket where it looks as though something could be missing...am I wrong?

If you're talking about the bracket on the beam directly in front of the coil, that is meant for the sway bar. Most people will delete that if they are pre-running.

Appreciate the help! And damn Pittman arms are expensive
