Yeah, also they estimate that it costs about $0.57 for each survey that is returned and about $55 for each survey that isn't.

It gets the funding for your local public services like schools, police, roads, fire, hospitals, etc. You aren't giving, SSN, employment, income, blood and DNA samples and a rectal probe, you just put down the number and names of the people there. Unless you are harboring a fugitive I don't see the big deal.

I am one of the more vocal people I know about the need to re-boot Washington, but I still don't see the big deal with filling out the basic info and sending it back.

It says you have to respond, it doesn't say you have to answer every question. Just enter the number of people that live in your house, LEGALLY, then send it in. You have officially responded.

i gross about $1400 every 2 weeks and i see about $1100 net.

she was a census taker, she was the one who went to the houses that didn't fill out the census forms.

Because, in all reality... they should already know this information... if its simply the names, ages, and number of people in your house...

And you SHOULD already know how much is in your bank account. You SHOULD know how much gas is in your truck, how long until your next oil change, etc. I bet you still need to check that stuff every so often.

That's what a census is. They are checking to make sure. If they didn't think they already had a good idea they'd be doing it more than once every 10 years.

If you think not dont buy their health insurance and see what happens. Oh nevermind nothing is going to happen until obama gets reelected. We need jobs now we need health reform now not in three years. A few good things will happen that need to but it is all that other stuff in the works that scares me

There is no public option so that part of your post is a waste. Secondly, Obama has nothing to do with the census. The census wouldn't be needed if all government agencies from local to federal were on a standardized computer system but that can't happen since some places couldn't afford it. You may have a child born in Sister****, Georgia that gets a SS number, and then dies at age 2. Since the Coroner in Sister****, GA isn't on the same system, the feds won't know. Sames thing goes for many births. This goes for thousands of smaller towns and counties all over the country. Without the counts of people, you lose out on money for almost everything that you have come to expect from government.
