Hello

I got bored and install 94 Areostar brakes on my B2. Here are some pics.

These brakes make a big difference in stopping. Now I know I have brakes that work correctly.

Some Bronco II's came from the factory with 10" brakes. The 7.5 we just put in my Bronco II from Maurice's Bronco II had 10" brakes.

Nice job.

Just curious...did you go from 9" to 10" drums or is that an optical delusion...er, illusion?

that would be the whole reason for the upgrade.

a 7.5 is a 7.5...the 9" and 10" brakes are interchangable (only aerostars got the 10" drums with integral cooling fins though, easy upgrade if you have a ranger with 10" brakes).

Some Bronco II's got the 7.5 with 10" brakes; however they didn't have the cooling fins on the drums.

Thanks...I had 9" on my first Ranger and didn't upgrade to the Aerostar drums until my second Ranger...but it already had 10" brakes...didn't know they could be used interchangeably...thought a 10" drum wouldn't fit a 9" setup...

Learn something new every day...

To install the 10" brakes in place of the 9" drums, you have to have everything from the backing plate out. You also have to remove the axle.

ah, that makes sense...I had thought he just slipped 10" drums over the 9" setup...and thought there must be a huge gap between the drum and the backplate now...lol!
