- Let's see Paul Allen's Ranger.
So! Fun fact, 2011 Ranger takes a VISIBLY IDENTICAL however INTERNALLY DIFFERENT transfer case motor than what most parts catalogs call for.
Frustrated with no 4wd for years, I decided to take wild advantage of Amazon's "no questions asked" return policy.
(FIRE THE PARTS CANNON!)
As it turns out, the " TRQ" brand name shift motor DOES WORK for the 2011. One other did as well, but ill be honest, I can't identify which is which, so I will withold comment. TRQ brand name was the only one that had a solid aluminum casting with no silicone sealant, so I went with that one.
TRQ shift motor can be found here:
To 2011 owners in the future: not all shift motors work due to a wiring/command issue. Just fire the parts cannon from Amazon until you find one that works. It's not your 4wd control module, I don't care what AI tells you. It's your motor, and you have to find the one that is internally correct for your truck.
YMMV, check for uneven tire wear, call your father.
