hydraulic clutch line styles?

I tried searching here and google , but no luck. It seems that my old hydraulic line is different from the new one. Both have the same fittings but the newer one has more bends to it. I've looked at various websites to see if i ordered the wrong one but all the stores show the same line. I wonder if they just improved the design or whatnot. Has anyone else had this problem? the ranger is a 1989 2.3 2wd
