so im putting a new clutch in my friends 91 ranger 2.3L amd i cant get the clutch line off...i rented the special tool needed to disconnect it but it wont come off, like its frozen on there or something. tryed spraying some PB blast on there and let it soak for a while but its still on there.
This is the only thing keeping us from dropping the tranny and putting the new clutch in and i need the truck out of the garage by tonight. so can someone please help me:icon_thumby::D

push the line in and then push the white sleeve in and twist and pull and the line should come out. i have had 2 of them this week.

take the slave off the firewall, leave the lines connected.

He meant take the Clutch master off the firewall and drop it with the tranny. When ever i do the clutch line, i spray it with pb, then i spin the white piece. It has an angle cut, i've found if you spin it one way, it actually pulls the grit out of the connector. Do that a few times and it should push in and disconnect.
