The shots today were taken with my Nikon D300, and 70 200mm f/2.8 VR lens.

I also have a Nikon D70, and the following Nikkor lenses:

18 70mm
70 300mm (non-VR)
85mm f/1.4
105mm f/2.8 VR
17 55mm f/2.8

I have found the lens quality makes the sharpness, clarity, and color of the image!

Wow - that is an impressive array of equipment.
I am currently shooting with a Kodak Z1285 Digital 12 mega pixels. I also have a Canon AE1 Program with 28mm wide angle and 50mm lens's, and my Sony Cybershot that is having screen issues.
I really enjoyed the shots I got with my Canon - SLR can have so many advantages over digital, but with Photoshop you can do just about anything with the photos.

35mm SLR to PAS digital, true, but not true with a DSLR.

Instead of Photoshop, I use Nikon's Capture NX, post-processing software.
