my truck has started to make a noise that sounds like i have noisy tires, however it is not coming from the tires, i think it may be coming from my right front CV (i have the hubs permanently locked) because right at the joint where it attaches to the hub there is a little bit of movement. it seems to be the loudest at 25mph and then gets a little quiter as i speed up. is it possible for the cv to make a noise like that? (btw i cant hear it if i stick my head out the window so i think it is filtering up through the frame). is there anything else that might cause this? thanks in advance!!

Wheel bearings make a noise simular to that. I just replaced a set making the same noise. I thought it was the tires, but then I got new tires and the noise was still there. I aligned the front end and replace the bearings and it is gone.
