I have a 93 ranger with push button 4wd. I've changed modules and checked all my fuses, and don't know what is wrong with it. When I push the button it makes a clicking sound, but the module doesn't light up nor do the buttons by the switch. I was just wondering if you all knew how hard it was to convert to manual hubs. If I can get manual hubs off another ranger from a junkyard. And, lastly, if any of you have an idea of what my problem may be.
Thank you!

Swapping to manual hubs will not fix your problem. You need to check the shift motor on the transfer case.

What do i check? Sorry, I don't know ANYthing about electronics.

You need to make sure the shift motor is working. you should be able to feel it shift while it is on the t-case. Have someone switch the switch and you hold your hand on it.

if it doesn't?

then if you have replaced the shift module, then the motor is bad.

any idea on the price?

Think that'll fix it?

I would check to see if it works first. If you have replaced the switch and the 4wd control module, then the motor would be the only other option
