I believe that's the correct size.

ask for a socket for a Dana 44 and you'll get the right one, they won't know what a Dana 28 or front Dana 35 are most likely... it'll be a little big but will work just fine

Ok ive got the 4 prong tool.Whats the difference in the auto hubs tool?Theres a pik a part close by so will probably convert to manual hubs soon.
Thanks for the help!!!

IIRC the socket that you need for that job is a 2 3/8" socket.

if it's anything like the Dana 35 auto hubs all you need is a magnet for the little key thing and a pair of channel lock pliers to get the nut off after the key is out, I missed the auto hub thing before, sorry about that.

Got everything greased and tightened up.Yes just needed a pair of channel locks.

Going to pik a part next weekend (its 1/2 price fri.&sat.)and get manual hubs.

Is it worth it to swap to manual transfercase?I dont think the auto ones working (lights not working).Just got the truck so still figuring it out.
