What is soldered between those 2 wires? And where do the wires connect?

Sent from somewhere naughty!

its a resistor and I bet it goes on the thermal sensor..... I once bought a Taurus with a 3.8L that had one.....ran really rich and fouled the plugs around every 8000 miles and caused cat problems.... took 6 months to figure out that it had that "chip" and to "fix" the problem. I got the car for $300........ drove it for 3 years after I removed the problem.

OOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOO I want one!

the resistor trick does work, I've seen it make a difference at the track, but its definitely not something you want to run every day.

Where does it wire exactly? And how does it work?

Semi related note, I ran my truck in the quarter today, 33x12.5 on 15x10 steelies, ran a 17.8@87mph, I was in 4x4 till I hit halfway through second gear, because there was gravel on the road
