Just joined the ranger station forum. Currently own a 2002 ford ranger 2.3L manual. Built a costume bumper for it that looks stock, but it is made out of 1/4" 4X6" steel tubing and then was powder coated. I also just switched out my 60/40 seats for bucket seats from a 2005 ford ranger sport, had to modify the brackets in the rear of the seats to work in my regular cab, but it was worth it and I am currently going to be welding up a center console for it.

would love to see some photo's and hear more info. If you want ideas.......... pretty much everything that can be done to a ranger, has been done, and has been detailed at length somewhere round here.

I'm from Washington state and currently still going to college. After college I plan on adding a dual muffler kit and a K & N air filter to my truck.

interesting... any suggestions then? Want to stick with the 2.3L for gas mileage though, so a v-6 swap is out of the question.

You don't get a 4cy 2wd ranger for performance....... just drive it and enjoy it for what it is. my 97 has over 230k miles....... i did ditch the intake baffle just for a little noise, and did str8s after the cat for the annoyance factor (it's a 5spd, I can be as loud as I want), tinted windows....... and blacked out the chrome. but that's it. it's just a work truck now.
