The name is Dan. Most know me by Big Dan or Tractor Dan. As my profile says i got a 97 Ranger i scored for 450 bucks back in september have dropped another 275 dollars into it. I'm 16 so ofcourse my world revolves around that shiny thing with 4 wheels. lol. When i ain't admiring my truck with all its dings and scratches i'm into CB radios, guns, knives, dogs, women, bluegrass, construction equipment, and semis. So that essentially sums up me if yall have any questions ask away. I'm from the northwest ohio area down near lima.

welcome! its kinda funny that women was listed behind dogs. lol

Lol. Thats because the last one i was with played mind games and my dog don't. Granted my lab may be stupid and chew through chainlink fence but i know that he will always come home. lol. Really though i just randomly put thoose in, i have all plans of finding a good women but she better like dogs i have had them my whole life. Not really sure where to make another post about my truck but its related to overall rough running and transmission that bucks like bareback bronc. lol.

Thats all the pictures i have up. If anyone is curious thats a Wilson 5000 magmount and a Uniden Grant XL peaked and tuned with a D104 chrome power mic. lol. Trucks, Cb's, dogs, and women you just can't get enough of them. lol.

Radio

Speaking as a ham mobile operator I'd suggest that you hook the CB directly to the battery and not use the lighter plug. Make sure that you fuse both leads at the battery so you don't start a fire if the wire snags on something. You'll get better reception with the cleaner power.

I haven't been on CB since before you were born but I do remember that classic mic.

I'll post some pictures of my radios when I get them installed. I did make some contacts in Japan from my truck last month.

Its going directly to the battery just as soon as i get some time and decent weather. I'm getting ready in the next couple weeks to make a mount for it so it will be a more stable and permanent installation. I have only had the truck since september so i wanted to make sure it was worth doing a full install.
