Aloha & Happy New Year from Hawaii!

Many thanks to the creators & users of this site for sharing their knowledge, which was very helpful in my recent work on my 1998 xlt (4 cyl. ; 2.5L manual trans.) which I've owned for the past 16 years. After 188,000 miles she needed a lot of TLC and this site, among others, was an awesome resource. Replaced the ball joints, shocks, plugs & wires, thermostat, coolant temp sensor & sender, idle air valve, O2 sensors, oil change, changed all filters, replaced trans. fluid, cleaned throttle body & plugged EGR port, she runs like a charm now and CEL is off with no codes. I even added a new tach to the steering column since my in-dash tach stopped working about a year ago. I'm by no means a professional mechanic but it's been fun learning and slowly increasing my tool collection in the process. Cheers!

Also I was wondering given the year & mileage, what other issues you guys might see popping up in the near future? It's got the original timing belt so that is definitely a concern of mine, it starts & runs fine but sometimes seems to idle high until it really warms up, not sure if that has any connection. The other thing I've heard about high-mileage Rangers are issues with blown head gaskets which I wouldn't think of attempting either of these myself. Alternator & p/s unit were replaced about 4 years ago. Most of the wiring & connectors have been checked & still look good. Truck does not leak any fluids at all. Thx for any feedback!
