I live in SE Missouri (hopefully moving to Casper WY when I retire in a couple years), originally (1st 40 yrs) in central MN.

Work all over the country on power plant construction projects, quality control. Currently working just on the CA border south of Vegas on 2-1/2 yr solar-steam plant project.

Anyway, had my car stolen out of my Vegas apartment parking space 6 weeks ago, found an inexpensive 93 Ranger 2.3 5 spd 2wd as a backup when it's too cold to ride my BMW R1200RT bike (and that ain't often! :-).

75 k miles, going thru it stem to stern. ALL fluids, plugs, muffler (more holes
than a sieve), radiator, T-stat, lower hose, now found an engine oil drip out of what must be the rear main seal. RATS! I don't have much in the way of tools with me out here. I usually do ALL my own wrenching.

Might have to get into the Mazda trans and replace reverse synchro, and then of course take a good look at the clutch and release system.

Looks like a trans jack from Harbor Freight is in my immediate future :-/

So will probly be asking mechanical questions that I can't find in the oem shop manual I just bought on ebay. I'm a FIRM believer in having those.

Anyway, howdy, and you'll probly "see" me from time to time.
