Hi everyone, I've kinda been browsing this site for awhile now looking at the tech articles. I figured I'd finally sign up and join. I currently don't own a Ranger now but I've owned 2 in the past. When I was in high school my Dad and I shared a 1986 Ranger with the 2.3/5-speed. That was just a really tough little truck. We regularly beat the snot out of it and it kept coming back for more! That was the truck that I learned how to drive on too. We sold it in 1997 when the little 4 cylinder finally gave it up. I've been kicking myself for the last 19 years for selling it. The last I heard it was getting a new engine so it could still be out there somewhere. Then after a few years and a lot of repair bills later in Dodge territory, I got back into another Ranger. A used 1995 Ranger with the 3.0 Vulcan motor that served me very well until my needs in a work truck justified an 8' bed F-150. I'm now on my second F-150, and I won't own anything else. I would like to find another older Ranger though as a project truck.

Howdy and welcome to TRS~!

Good to know you have been happy with the Ford line of products...there are probably plenty of older Rangers around you but you may need to act soon before they all disappear...

Take a look in the used vehicle section...I know a few recently listed their donor Rangers up for sale but they typically are missing the engine or other parts...but you are likely to find a complete unit still...I've seen a few around my area that I would love to have to start rebuilding...

Have fun...and don't be afraid to post in the section for wanted Rangers...you might convince someone to part with their extras...
