Hey guys i wanna get yalls opinion on this. How do you feel about a 4 cyl. 2.5 liter 1999 ranger reg cab running 30's? THANKS :yahoo:

You should seriously try the search bar before you post stuff like this. I did, and now I'm running 30's

I dont like it. I think you should swap a 460 W/ an 8-71 blower, Rockwells, on 56" Super swampers. :D

Seriously, theres got to be hundreds of people running 30" or so tires. Search around a little.

dont do it if you got an auto...

^^^what he said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't do it at all.

With a 4-cyl I wouldn't run any tire bigger than what you'd find on the rear of a lawn mower. Even with 5.13 gears. Just not enough power.

What gears do you have?

I know you have more hp than my 2.8... it got around ok on 29's with 3.73's.

I didnt notice a power drop at all with 30's. The only difference is using a tad more clutch to get going. I can go to around 35 in first and 60 in second instead of 20 in first and 40 in second, and since I commute more than I go off road, I really like it. Acceleration is still decent for a 4 cyl and I only netted around a 1-1.5 mpg loss.

But If you plan to wheel it as often as you commute with it, I would invest in 4.56's, and then you might as well get 31's or 32's

There's definately plenty of power as long as you remember what your driving :icon_thumby:
