I'm wanting to do a lift on my truck and I heard one of the cheapest and best ways is to add f-150 front springs and explorer leaf springs. I'm planning on doing that and adding a 3 inch body lift. What do you guys think?
How well will it ride? How much lift will I get? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

you'll get about 2" lift. it will ride like ass (particularly the front) and not flex well.

How about ranger front springs with F-150 blocks? I definitely want the explorer leafs so I can haul more though and I've heard that they ride even better most of the time.

the explorer leafs are designed to be loaded with the heavier rear end of an explorer. with an empty ranger bed they will ride rougher.

theres really no need to "upgrade" your springs for hauling. your stock springs will hold more than your axle is rated for. if your just going for lift, thats fine.

what about the front springs though?

Get yourself a set of 2" lift springs if you don't want to buy a 4" lift. You can get a new pair of Skyjacker 2" lift springs for $150 and you don't need any other brackets. Then add the 2" block in the rear and you will be set.

rough country leveling coils ride nice and give 2" lift. Just throw an add a leaf in your pack and get 2" out of it and it will strengthen the pack up a bit.

hes already got the factory 2" block in the rear...i wouldnt add anything higher than that and i certainly wouldnt stack blocks.

2" springs in the front will level it. if you want to maintain the rake, get the leveling springs and 2" shackles for the rear...this will give you an even 2" lift all around.
