How to take out my 1989 ranger window motor

Using tools.

Really, maybe you should rethink doing a motor swap if you can't narrow down your question.

I would suggest not taking it out through the interior. I know there were some vans in the 70s that did it that way, but not on a Ranger.

On a more serious note, remove trans bolts converter nuts if it's an auto, pull starter, undo exhaust, undo fuel lines, drain coolant, remove coolant hoses, pull radiator (makes a lot more room to work) unhook all wiring, unbolt steering pump and leave with body, then unbolt engine from mounts and lift. The last part it helps to have some really strong friends. Or an engine crane. I prefer an engine crane.

I changed the title. I'd help about window motor but have never done one.

Search a bit. You DO NOT need to drill out rivets and pull the whole window regulator and motor as one assembly. Pull the door panel off. You can drill holes in the door to access the bolts holding the motor to the door/window regulator. I just pulled mine a few weeks ago and got it without drilling anything, but it was a pain. Just used a wrench.

Not your model year, but these will give you an idea of what you're lookin at:
