That kid coulda spent 10k buying/modding an older (say, 92-96) F series (assuming it was even his truck) that would have walked right thru that hole.

But...it wouldnt of pulled as much tail sittin in the hay field on a saturday night sippin bud light watchin tan legs in the headlights

Eeeeeewwwwww. That was making bad noises. I wonder what broke. Itsbgoing to take him months to get that thing cleaned up.

Sounded like a cv axle

They are great at offroading... just not the kind of offroading that covers a lot of the country.

Wow, that locking rear axle sure is awesome. I have been told they work wonders on dry pavement.

Can they be activated with a spinning wheel?

Many diffs have suffered that fate...

I was thinking he broke something in the differential or an axle... didn't sound to pleasant at the end. Looks like the back driverside wheel found a pretty deep hole too.

No, the factory ones are about useless. Not only will they not really engage with the wheel spinning they are supposed to kick off and unlock when you go over 5 MPH.

I agree he broke something in one of the axles. The guy filming said it looked like the front wheels weren't driving at all, so he probably either broke a CV joint or blew up a spider gear. Genius should have stopped to winch after the second time he didn't make it on his own.

No, pretty sure this kid coulda spent 10K ruining an older F-series that would have fallen apart the first time he tried to drive it because lefty-tighty, righty-loosey.

you cant clean that without a rotisserie....body off stuff....

to any naysayers....

what? what wrong....was getting it pretty good.

just needs mud tires and locker bypass so it stays on in hi/lo or 2wd.

only potential issue i see....
dont do shit like that without a snorkel.....snorkel dont mean out the side of the fender either....and on top of the roof...simply cowl height...

it seemed ready for water. or they were lucky... it likely would have made it if it stayed together......sure as hell was not stock sounding....

if it wont take it......break it.

Yeah, I hear they're ok for dry 4 wheelin, not so much for non traction ie muddy wet shit. I can't figure why he didn't stop and get winched out either. Probably didn't wanna look a wimp with the 65k truck. Hell, I looked at a few of them and just decided they weren't worth the asking price.

I'm pretty sure if I lifted my GC some more she could've made it. But I'm smart enough to know when not to also.

Expensive lesson to learn. Probably not his rig either.
